The literary agencies New England Publishing Associates and Publish or Perish have merged. NEPA founder Elizabeth Frost-Knappman, and her partner Edward Knappman, will work with Publish or Perish founder Roger S. Williams, who will be managing director of the new agency, which will now be based out of the Publish or Perish office near Princeton, NJ. Williams said he expects a smooth transition process, and has begun moving NEPA clients to the newly combinbed agency.
Knappman, a former editor at William Morrow and Doubleday, founded NEPA in 1983 and the agency has roughly 150 clients. Williams worked as a bookseller and in sales before starting his agency in 2009. Williams said that, for the next few years, NEPA will continue to operate under its own name.
