Earlier this week one of India’s leading software companies, Datamatics Global Services Limited, announced that it will merge its digital publishing and e-retail services with PreMedia Global, which provides integrated multimedia content solutions. The as-yet-unnamed entity will become one of the world’s largest companies in this area with 3,000 employees and associates across ten locations around the globe. Among the group’s customers will be three of the top ten e-retailers, and five of the ten largest publishers. JM Financial and Indo-US Venture Groups, which had invested in PMG, will continue to remain invested in the combined group.
Lalit S. Kanodia, chairman of Datamatics, and Kapil Viswanathan, co-ceo of PMG, who will co-lead the new entity, issued a joint statement: “Datamatics and PMG are reshaping the industry by setting a new standard for supporting customers with integrated solutions across the content value chain. Together, we are well positioned for continued rapid growth.”
The merger is subject to regulatory approval.
