O’Reilly Media has signed with Ingram Content Group to use Ingram’s CoreSource platform for digital asset management and distribution. The agreement is the latest deal between the two companies; in April O’Reilly and Ingram struck an agreement under which Ingram will manage most of O’Reilly’s print inventory.
In the CoreSource deal, CoreSource will support O’Reilly’s day-to-day operations of its digital distribution business, noted O’Reilly general manager for digital initiatives Pascal Honscher. “Both O’Reilly and Ingram understand where the market is heading and that to succeed in the digital age, content must be nimble and available to be distributed in any format, seamlessly, to any destination,” said Marcus Woodburn, v-p of digital products, Ingram Content Group, said. “We look forward to expanding our relationship with O’Reilly and building innovative new business models that help forward-thinking publishers grow their business.”
CoreSource, an online service for the storage, management, and distribution of digital content, is used by over 800 publishers worldwide.
