Authors on this morning’s Today show:

Bestseller Daniel Silva, whose The Rembrandt Affair (Putnam, 978-0399156588, $26.95; Brilliance Audio abridged CD, $26.99) pubs today.

Colman Andrews served up The Country Cooking of Ireland (Chronicle Books, 978-0811866705, $50). PW’s starred review declared “Andrews has done the near impossible in elevating a cuisine thought to be humble and drab into tantalizing fare that will have world-wide appeal.”

Good Morning America hosted Daphne Oz, daughter of bestselling cardiologist Mehmet Oz, with her updated edition of The Dorm Room Diet: The 10-Step Program for Creating a Healthy Lifestyle Plan That Really Works (Newmarket Press, 978-1557049155, $16.95), which PW called “a great book to pack between the extra-long twin sheets and study lamp.” She also appeared on her dad’s The Dr. Oz Show.

On The View, Mad Men's Bryan Batt discussed his memoir She Ain't Heavy, She's My Mother (Harmony, 978-0307588852, $24).

The Bob Edwards Show hosted John Biewen, audio program director at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University and author of Reality Radio: Telling True Stories in Sound (Univ. of North Carolina Press, 978-0807871027, $22.95).

Authors on today’s Leonard Lopate Show:

Vendela Vida talked about her new novel The Lovers (Ecco, 978-0060828394, $23.99). PW thought “It's a slow, self-involved story, nearly every page of which is marred by Vida's strained attempts to create high art.”

The New Yorker editor David Remnick discussed The Only Game in Town: Sportswriting from The New Yorker (Random House, 978-1400068029, $30), which PW’s starred review called “thoughtfully curated. While readers may not be fans of a particular sport or athlete, the essays are universal; covering decades of sports writing, they speak to certain ineffable qualities of athletics and explore every facet of the games we play.”

Yesterday, The Bob Edwards Show interviewed journalist Megan Stack, author of Every Man in This Village is a Liar: An Education in War (Doubleday, 978-0385527163, $26.95). PW’s review said “her vivid, atmospheric prose and keen empathy make her a superb observer of the region's horrific particulars.”

Due to the nature of live programming, scheduling is subject to change.
