This morning on Today, food writer and recipe tester Lucy Baker channeled The Boozy Baker: 75 Recipes for Spirited Sweets (Running Press, 978-0762438020, $18.95).

Authors on today’s Leonard Lopate Show:

Fred Goodman, a former editor with Rolling Stone and author of Fortune's Fool: Edgar Bronfman, Jr., Warner Music, and an Industry in Crisis (S&S, 978-0743269988, $28), which PW called a “hefty, well-researched book.”

Anthony Doerr discussed his second collection of short stories Memory Wall (Scribner, 978-1439182802, $24), which pubbed last week. PW thought “For the bulk of the collection, Doerr's prose brings home the weight of his troubling thesis, that every hour... an infinite number of memories disappear, whole glowing atlases dragged into graves.”

Fox & Friends hosted Daphne Oz (daughter of bestselling cardiologist Mehmet Oz) with her updated edition of The Dorm Room Diet: The 10-Step Program for Creating a Healthy Lifestyle Plan That Really Works (Newmarket Press, 978-1557049155, $16.95), which PW called “a great book to pack between the extra-long twin sheets and study lamp.”

The Bob Edwards Show interviewed Mary McDonagh Murphy, author of Scout, Atticus, and Boo: A Celebration of Fifty Years of To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper, 978-0061924071, $24.99). PW thought “Readers should turn (or return) to To Kill a Mockingbird before bothering to dip into this disappointing collection.”

Due to the nature of live programming, scheduling is subject to change.
