Ed Park has been hired as an editor, acquiring general fiction, at Amazon Publishing. Park, who was most recently an editor at literary magazine The Believer, has also worked for The Voice Literary Supplement (a now defunct quarterly from the Village Voice) and wrote the 2008 novel Personal Days.
Planman Technologies has appointed Ella Hanna as director of business development. Hanna is an award-winning creative and managing director with 20+ years of publishing design and business development expertise. She has held leadership positions with Houghton Mifflin, Pearson, Course Technology, Lapiz, Inc., GTS Publishing Services (now Aptara), Monotype, Inc. (now Six Red Marbles) and Ligature, Inc.
Planman has also announced Orville Dykes as director of publishing services in its Cincinnati office. Dykes has been in educational publishing and manufacturing for 40 years and his appointment is part of Planman’s expansion in the U.S.
