Ben Sevier has been promoted to editor-in-chief for Dutton, effective October 3. Sevier has been at Dutton for nearly five years, first as a senior editor and then as an executive editor. He edits New York Times bestsellers Harlan Coben, Tami Hoag, Raymond Khoury, John Lescroart, and Linda Fairstein.
Lara Heimert has been promoted to the position of v-p, editorial and publishing director, Basic Books. Heimert joined Basic Books in 2005 and was promoted to editorial director in 2007.
Ailen Lujo will begin as director, book trade marketing for DC Comics on October 3 after 11 years with Soho Press.
