Job Moves: October 26, 2011

Karyn Marcus has been hired as a senior editor at the Simon & Schuster imprint, beginning on October 31^st. Marcus comes from St. Martin’s Press, where she has been an editor with Thomas Dunne Books since 2008.

Sheila Barry will be joining Patsy Aldana at Groundwood Books for children as co-publisher. Sheila will join the company in January 2012. She was previously editor-in-chief at Kids Can Press.

Michael Cairns has been named to the newly created position of chief revenue officer. Cairns was most recently managing partner of Information Media Partners.

Leury Hidalgo has been named web designer.

Sylvia Kates has been hired as front end coder.
