Wall Street Journal writer and author Jeffrey Zaslow died February 10 from injuries he sustained in a car accident. He was 53. Zaslow co-wrote The Last Lecture with Randy Pausch in 2008. It sold over five million copies in the U.S. and was translated into 48 languages. Zaslow's most recent book is The Magic Room: A Story About the Love We Wish for Our Daughters, published in December 2011 by Gotham, which released a statement about Zaslow.
"Jeff Zaslow's death is a shock and a tragedy to all of us at Gotham and Penguin and to his beloved readers. Jeff was a truly good man, husband and father and that quality came through in his books. As a reporter he had an eye for the subtle, human details of people that captured them. He was a born storyteller. We were honored to work with him and have him as a friend. We shall miss him."
