Peter Phillips has been appointed as the new chief executive for Cambridge University Press. He will take up his new post immediately, following the recent change of role for CUP's previous chief executive, Stephen Bourne. Phillips has been chief operating officer of the CUP since 2010. He was previously on the board of Ofcom, the UK's regulator for communications and media, and at the BBC where, among other roles, he was chief operating officer for BBC News and the BBC's director of business development.
