Jonathan Galassi, Teresa Melhado and Theodore Rogers have been elected board members for Words Without Borders. The nonprofit organization publishes and supports (through grants and other activities) international literature.
Galassi is editor in chief at Farrar, Straus and Giroux. Melhado, a former financial reporter and lawyer, was co-chair of Memorial Sloan-Kettering's Special Projects Committee for a number of years and has since been involved with a number of other charities. Ted Rogers has worked in industrial management and investing; he also serves on a number of boards for arts organizations, including Poets and Writers and Film Forum, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Science.
