Andrew Weber has been named global trade chief operating officer at Macmillan. Weber is joining Macmillan from Bonobos.com (the online commerce Web site that specializes in men's clothing), where he was v-p of operations. Before Bonobos he spent 16 years at Random House, where his last position was senior v-p of operations and technology. Weber is taking on many of the responsbilities that had been done by Brian Napack, who stepped down as president of Macmillan in December 2011; he will be reporting to John Sargent.

Macmillan said that in his new role, Weber will be overseeing, for the U.S., all finance, accounting, distribution, legal, human resources, technology, M&A, and strategy needs.“I’m excited to return to book publishing and to work with John and the Macmillan team around the world to address the great opportunities we have before us,' Weber said in a statement.
