After a decade overseeing the Independent Book Publishers Association, Florrie Binford Kichler will retire at the end of June. Kichler, who started as a board member at the organization, was named president five years ago, after Jan Nathan died. With Kichler's departure, Terry Nathan, who's been at the IBPA for 20 years, is stepping into the role of COO, while a search for Kichler's replacement, who will get the title of executive director, gets underway.
Chair of the IBPA, Stephen Blake Mettee said: "Florrie has been our rock of stability during challenging times and will be sorely missed, but her retirement certainly opens a great career opportunity for the right person."
