Colin Harrison has been promoted to v-p and editor-in-chief at Scribner. Harrison, who was a v-p and senior editor, has been at the Simon & Schuster imprint for 11 years.
Among the titles Harrison has acquired at S&S are Anthony Swofford's Jarhead (which was adapted into a film starring Jake Gyllenhaal); Carol Sklenicka's biography Raymond Carver; and the Pulitzer Prize finalist by Sam Gwynne, Empire of the Summer Moon.
Before joining Scribner, Harrison was a deputy editor at Harper's Magazine.
