Jeff Abraham, who has headed Random House Publisher Services for eight years, has been appointed president of the newly unified Penguin Random House Publisher Services group. In that role, Abraham will be overseeing the needs of client publishers of both Random House and Penguin. Kristin Feehan, director, distribution clients, who leads the team dedicated to managing the Penguin client relationships, will report to Abraham, as will the staff supporting the Random House clients. All other Penguin and Random House internal and client-reporting relationships remain unchanged and there are no changes to the sales reps’ selling responsibilities.
Since Abraham joined RHPS he has built the distribution group to the point where it now handles distribution for over 30 publishers. Penguin’s third-party clients are Europa Editions, Kensington, Library of America, and Overlook Press. Commenting on Abraham’s appointment, PRH president Madeline McIntosh noted that “growing and developing our Publisher Services business is a priority for Penguin Random House.”
