Phaidon Press announced that Keith Fox will be joining the company as chief executive officer. He was previously president of McGraw- Hill Financial's Construction division, and previously served as president of BusinessWeek and McGraw-Hill Professional. He will be based in Phaidon's New York office.
According to a statement from the publisher, Fox is assuming leadership of Phaidon as the company, owned by family of Debra and Leon Black, is "expanding its footprint in the U.S. and strengthening its positions in Europe and Asia" in its core categories of arts, photography, design, architecture, and cookery. In December, Phaidon brought on Judith Regan to head a new multimedia unit, Regan Arts.
"I am honored to be joining Phaidon and humbled by the trust the Black family has placed in me," said Fox. "I look forward to enhancing Phaidon's brand as the world's premier fine arts publisher and driving profitable growth through innovation and digital platforms."
