Ana Maria Allessi, publisher of Workman Audio, will become v-p and publisher of Hachette Audio. Anthony Goff, currently senior v-p and audio publisher at Hachette, will be leaving the company. The news, announced in an email by Hachette CEO Michael Pietsch, is part of what Pietsch calls the ongoing effort to "combine the Hachette Audio and Workman Audio teams into one department." Hachette acquired Workman last September.
Allessi is well-known figure in the audiobook market. Before joining Workman two years ago, Allessi served as v-p and publisher of HarperAudio. Prior to that, she was v-p of digital innovation at HarperAudio and v-p and publisher of Harper Media.
Goff joined Hachette Audio in 2003 and has led the group since 2014. His last day will be February 11. In his email to employees, Pietsch thanked Goff for leading Hachette Audio "so successfully " during a period of tremendous growth for both Hachette Audio and the audiobook market in general.
