Marco Ausenda has stepped down as president and CEO of Rizzoli, titles he has held since 2002, and assumed the positions of chairman of the boards of Rizzoli International Publications and Rizzoli Bookstores.
Stefano Peccatori will succeed Ausenda as president and CEO of Rizzoli International Publications and Rizzoli Bookstores. Peccatori has been with the Rizzoli's Italian parent company, Mondadori Libri, for 30 years. Like Ausenda, Peccatori's new role also makes him president and CEO of Rizzoli New York (US) and the Rizzoli Bookstore in New York,
The executive changes will have no impact on Rizzoli's U.S. day-to-day operations, where Charles Miers remains v-p and publisher of Rizzoli New York and all its imprints. Jennifer Pierson, v-p of sales, marketing, and operations, and Randy Barlow, v-p for finance, administration, and HR, also remain in their posts.
In addition to his new role as president and CEO of Rizzoli, Peccatori will continue as general manager and publisher of Mondadori Elect, and general manager and publisher of Mondadori's Sperling & Kupfer division.
