Denise Cronin has been named v-p of subsidiary rights for the Random House Publishing Group, filling a position that has been open since Rebecca Gardner left in late September to be rights director at the Gernert Company. Cronin is leaving her post as v-p and director of sub rights at Farrar, Straus & Giroux and Henry Holt for the RHPG job. She will start in her new position on November 2.
According to an announcement from Random, Cronin will be overseeing sub rights activity for all of the group imprints at Random House: Random House, Ballantine, Bantam Dell, Del Rey, Dial Press, Modern Library, and Spiegel & Grau.
