Beginning this month, the Langenscheidt Publishing Group is taking on distribution for Fluenz, a Miami-based software company that develops a variety of language programs for Window and Mac computers. Langenscheidt said the line, which includes teaching programs in Spanish, Italian, French and Mandarin Chinese, is a good complement to its own language products which it markets through Berlitz. Langenscheidt will distribute Fluenz to its major national accounts and independent book retailers.
The Hachette Book Group has announced that it will handle all sales and distribution for Chronicle Books in Latin America effective immediately and that beginning January 1 it will take over sales and distribution to the Middle East and Caribbean. The agreement covers distribution for Chronicle’s distribution clients as well--Blue Apple Books, Quirk Books, Laurence King Publishing (Mexico only), Princeton Architectural Press (LA & Caribbean only), and PQ Blackwell.
