In other literary event news, Christopher Hitchens has suspended the book tour for his new book for personal reasons. “Unfortunately travel is impossible right now,” said a spokesperson for Hitchens’ publisher Twelve, according to The Huffington Post.
In case you haven’t been following the controversy over Apple’s new iPhone 4, here’s a quick recap: the blogs this week have been afire over an issue with the phone’s cellular signal reception. Turns out if you hold it in a certain way, you loose bars. Well, Mashable speculates that Apple knew about the issue and has been pumping their tech support crews full of PR copy that claims the problem doesn’t exist. (This iPhone is more of a content-consumption device than any previous model, if only due to its crisp screen, so iPhone news is book news.)
