NBN’s international sales and distribution division is now partnering with Peter Ward Book Exports to service the Middle East for all NBN clients. Sales rep Richard Ward has serviced the Middle East for more than 30 years, partnering with Israel's largest bookstore chain, Steimatzky's, and receiving orders from Dubai, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon. NBN's managing director and international sales director Les Petriw said the company intends to expand to the Far East, South Africa, Mexico, Central America, and South America over the next year. It already sells books for its clients in Canada, the U.K., Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
NBN has also created a new department that will bring increased focus on ensuring the accurate creation and timely delivery of all e-book products, as well as ensure that NBN remains current with advances in new e-book technology, software, and applications. The new department launched this week and is accepting publishers for content conversion to electronic formats. Catherine Forrest Getzie is director of the new department; she was previously NBN’s Fusion Services Manager.
