Infinity Publishing, the West Conshohocken, Penn self-publishing company, has added an audio option to its list of service. For a $599 setup fee, Infinity will record an author’s book into an audiobook one hour long and make it available in CD and downloadable formats. The fee includes narration and packaging. The goal of 1-Hour Audio “is to provide authors and publishers with easy access into the audio book market,” said Arthur Gutch, CEO of Infinity.

Gutch is part of an investment group that acquired infinity in April. He said the company has worked with traditional publishers in creating audiobooks. Since it was launched in 1997, Infinity has produced 6,000 titles from about 4,000 authors, Gutch said.
