With the international spotlight focused on Egypt, and the continuing unrest there, Metropolitan Books is pushing up its forthcoming title from Mohamed ElBaradei. The Age of Deception: Nuclear Diplomacy in Treacherous Times will be published around the world on April 26. The book was originally scheduled for June 3.

ElBaradei won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005 for his work to stop the proliferation of nuclear weapons, and has been a central figure in the current protests to oust Egypt President Hosni Mubarak. ElBaradei, an academic and a politician, has been leading the opposition to Murabak, whose refusal to leave office after a 30-year reign has caused mass protesting in Cairo and beyond.

The book, which is ElBaradei's first will, according to Metropolitan publisher Sara Bershtel, reveal "a long career of independent thought, integrity and courage." No first printing set yet.
