Penguin has partnered with female-centeric social media site Blogher to create a forum for readers to discuss books. Through the partnership, BlogHer, which features news and entertainment content as well as an outlet for women to network online, has created a section of its site called Book Club that will feature Penguin titles (usually two) on a monthly basis.

BlogHer members will be given access to live chats with Penguin authors, information about the making-of the books, as well as tips on how to publish on their own. There are also plans for Penguin and BlogHer to co-host a conference in New York about the business of publishing in the fall. The first title featured on BlogHer are Geraldine Brooks's Caleb's Crossing (Viking, May).
