Simon & Schuster Audio and independent music distributor Monostereo DLM have entered a new sales and distribution agreement, effective immediately.

The first release under this new agreement will be The Secret of Love by Deepak Chopra, M.D., and composer/producer Adam Plack. This is the second in a series of guided mediations released on Play It By Ear Music, a label partnership by Chopra and Plack. Future releases will include two more Chopra audio programs. Under the terms of the agreement, Simon & Schuster Audio will handle worldwide physical and digital sales, distribution and fulfillment of audiobooks and related products distributed by Monostereo DLM to the book market. Monostereo DLM retains global distribution rights to the recorded music market.

In other distribution news, the University of Nebraska Press will begin distributing for Caxton Press, an independent publisher based in Caldwell, Idaho. The distribution partnership will take effect Sept. 1, 2011. Caxton Press was founded in 1925, publishing six to eight books a year, with a focus on topics on the American West. Forthcoming titles include: Cecil Andrus: Idaho's Greatest Governor, by Chris Carlson; The Settlers' War: The Struggle for the Texas Frontier in the 1860s, by Gregory Michno; and Treaties and Treachery: The Northwest Indians' Resistance to Conquest, by Kurt R. Nelson.
