In July, word spread through the industry about a book Little, Brown was selling to accounts without a title. The book, known as Untitled by Anonymous and scheduled for a fall release, was presumed to be a book about Bernie Madoff. Little, Brown has finally come clean and the rumors were correct: Truth and Consequences: Life Inside the Madoff Family by Laurie Sandell has been scheduled for an October 31 release. Originally slated for November, the book has been bumped up and Sandell is set to appear on 60 Minutes the day before the book drops.
LB says Sandell, a journalist, got "unprecedented access" to Madoff's family, namely his wife Ruth, son Andrew and Andrew's fiancee Catherin Hooper, and the book will "reveal the personal details behind the headlines."
