Owlkids Books announced it will be changing Canadian distributors at the end of 2011. Currently distributed by Raincoast Books in Richmond, BC, the Toronto-based publisher has decided to move its Canadian distribution closer to its home office. UTP Distribution in Toronto will commence shipping Owlkids books in Canada as of January 1, 2012. To ensure a seamless transition for customers, returns of Owlkids books will be accepted by UTP as of that date. Raincoast Books will also accept returns of Owlkids books until March 31, 2012.
Owlkids Books has also signed with independent sales agency, ampersand inc, formerly known as Kate Walker & Company, to represent them from coast to coast at the national and local account levels.
