BookBrunch, the U.K. daily e-mail and Web site that provides news and views from the U.K. book industry, has named Eric Green CEO and Cortina Butler interim managing director. Liz Thomson and Nicholas Clee, who cofounded BookBrunch four years ago, remain joint editors.
Green is the founding partner of BDS, the bibliographic data provider which last year took a stake in BookBrunch. Butler, who recently stepped down from her position of global editor-in-chief of Reader's Digest Books and Home Entertainment, will assist BookBrunch in developing its strategy for growth.
BDS made its investment in BookBrunch in April 2011. Since then, the editorial team has been concentrating on integration into the BDS portfolio alongside sister publication Books & Media and the web design company, Ehaus. BookBrunch's website and newsletter are undergoing a complete overhaul, and are currently in the soft launch phase.
BookBrunch publishes online dailies and, in partnership with Publishers Weekly, print dailies at the London and Frankfurt Book Fairs.
