Publishing industry veteran Dave Hohman has acquired Iconografix, a wholesaler and specialist publisher focused on titles about cars, trucks, heavy equipment and railroads, based in Hudson, Wis.

Hohman is a former associate publisher at Voyageur Press and former director of special sales for the Quayside Publishing Group. Iconografix is a 20 year old publisher/wholesaler with more than 300 active titles on its backlist covering collectible cars, auto racing, snowmobiles, railroads, emergency vehicles and trucks. Iconografix will continue to publish about 8 to 10 new titles a year in its specialty areas while looking to expand its list into related subjects. Its titles will continue to be distributed by Quayside.

Tom Warth is the former owner of Iconografix. Now the company has been sold, Warth palns to spend more time working on Books for Africa, a St. Paul, Minn.-based nonprofit he launched in 1988 to bring books to Africa.
