It was a momentous week, as the the US Dept. of Justice (DOJ) moved to sue Apple and five trade book houses for price-fixing on e-books, settling the charges with three publishers. “It is important to note that this case was never about the agency model; it is about how these five publishers got to the agency model," explains Andrew Albanese, Publishers Weekly features editor.
