The U.S. Commerce Department’s global publishing team will hold a May 24 webinar that will bring together experts to discuss opportunities in the Russia publishing market. The webinar, titled, “Understanding the Russia Publishing Market,” will start at 11:00 a.m. EST. The one and a half hour program will feature expert speakers from leading publishing companies in Russia and will include a moderated question and answer session. Topics will include an overview of the Russian publishing market; trends and opportunities for U.S. publishers; an overview of children’s book publishing; and a snapshot of digital publishing and innovation.

Speakers will include: Ken Walsh, commercial officer, U.S. Embassy Moscow; Arkady Vitrouk, general director, Atticus Group, Hachette Russia; Lev Elin, v-p, Egmont Russia; and Andrey Gelmiza, Knigabyte Digital Publishing and Book Innovations in Russia.
