Michelle Obama's Becoming, now in its sixth printing, has sold more than two million units in the the U.S. and Canada in the two weeks following its November 13 publication, Penguin Random House said.
The NPD BookScan breakdown indicates, through November 24, that the book, published by PRH's Crown imprint, has sold 1,122,620 copies in hardcover; 11,429 in audio; 8,767 in large print; and 7,607 in a Spanish-language edition. There are a total of 3.4 million copies of the book in print in the U.S. and Canada.
The book has been #1 on most bestseller lists throughout the country throughout the past two weeks, including those at the New York Times, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly. It is also the #1 adult nonfiction bestseller in, among other territories, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Holland, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Greece, the publisher said. PRH added that the book also made the bestseller lists in Australia, Israel, Korea, Taiwan, and South Africa.
Becoming is being published in 31 languages worldwide.
