In the ongoing integration of Random House and Crown, the company has announced the combined teams and leadership members in the public relations and marketing; art; and finance, subsidiary rights, and publishing operations departments.
Theresa Zoro, executive v-p of RH, is also the executive creative director of public relations and marketing for RH. Her executive team includes Susan Corcoran, senior v-p and director of publicity, who will oversee the publicity directors of the RH’s imprints.
Joining Corcoran in the management ranks is Leigh Marchant, named senior v-p and director of marketing, who will lead RH’s title marketing directors for the Random House, Dial Press, One World, Ballantine Bantam Dell, Del Rey Crown, Tim Duggan Books, Currency, Convergent, and Forum imprints.
Zoro said the marketing and publicity leads for Ten Speed, Clarkson Potter, Harmony, and Rodale will now report to her with, Windy Dorresteyn newly promoted to v-p and director of marketing for Ten Speed Press and Clarkson Potter, and Kate Tyler serving in a parallel role as v-p and director of publicity for both imprints. For Harmony and Rodale, Christian is director of marketing, and Tammy Blake is v-p and director of publicity.
Other executives providing group‐wide leadership and support include Carisa Hays, who is now v-p and director of the Random House Speakers Bureau, and executive publicist for special projects. Carly Gorga is now director for special events.
The finance, sub rights, and publishing operations units will now report to Bill Takes, executive v-p of business strategy. In charge of the combined RH, Crown finance and analytics unit is Patsy Tucker, newly appointed senior v-p of finance and analytics, overseeing the two sides of the collaborative department.
Heading up the newly integrated subsidiary rights department are Denise Cronin and Lance Fitzgerald. Within the department, Toby Ernst will head up domestic rights, and Rachel Kind is executive director for foreign rights.
In publishing operations, Takes announced the creation of two parallel departments for Random House, to be led respectively by Lisa Feuer and Derek Gullino. Feuer will head the team supporting Random House, Ballantine Bantam Dell, Del Rey, and Crown Trade, while Gullino will lead a newly‐formed illustrated publishing operations team and will focus on Clarkson Potter, Ten Speed Press, Harmony, and Rodale.
The Random House art department is being overseen by Paolo Pepe, who is senior v-p and creative director. His department will work primarily with the non-illustrated imprints. Serving as his deputy is Chris Brand, who is v-p and creative director.
An unspecified number of jobs were cut in the integration of the three groups. Last Friday, as part of the streamlining process of Random House, the company announced the closure of the Spiegel & Grau imprint. The integration began last year when Gina Centrello was put in charge of Random House following its merger with Crown Publishing.
