Hastings Entertainment has overhauled its Web site adding more information on products and improving its searching and browsing capabilities as well improving interactivity with customers. The site, at www.gohastings.com, will also make it easier for Hastings to cross promote its different offerings, which range from books to gifts. The site provides access to more than 2.8 million products, including new and used items. The site, however, is not offering any e-books for sale.
As part of the upgrade, the site features the ability to watch video and video game trailers, preview and download music titles, set up a user wish list that can be passed on for gift giving, and reserve a copy of an upcoming release to be picked up in one of Hastings’s stores or shipped to a customer upon release. In addition, the new site will integrate more seamlessly with stores, allowing customers to look up specific store information, store hours, unique store events, and check online to see if a desired item is in stock at their local store.
