U.S.–based technology company Veristage, cofounded by book publishing veterans Thomas Cox and Thomas Minkus, has announced the launch of Insight, an AI platform for book publishers.
Insight offers AI tools, including large language models such as ChatGPT and Claude, to analyze documents and generate metrics, editorial and marketing assets, sales materials, and other content. Insight also includes tools for extracting and describing images within a document, generating audiobooks, and downloading reports. It can, the company said in a release, be integrated into standard publishing workflows, and is compatible with such formats as PDF, Word, XML (Onix, JATS), EPUB, and Excel.
“We are thrilled to officially launch Insight,” said Minkus, who previously served as president of the now shuttered Frankfurt Book Fair New York, in a statement. “Through extensive testing and valuable early feedback, Insight has demonstrated immense potential to add value to editorial, marketing, and sales.
