Hachette Book Group's Orbit division has launched Run for It, a new horror imprint. Run for It is Orbit's fourth imprint, alongside the flagship Orbit SFF imprint; Redhook, launched in 2013, which focuses on commercial fiction with speculative elements; and the digital SFF publishing imprint Orbit Works, launched in 2023.

Run for It will publish Orbit's current horror authors, including Craig DiLouie and Andy Marino, with plans to add more. Its inaugural titles are slated for summer 2025.

Orbit executive editor Bradley Englert, who is the division's principal acquiring editor for horror, will acquire for Run for It, and Orbit president and publisher Tim Holman will oversee the imprint along with the rest of the division.

"We’ve been steadily increasing the number of horror titles we publish each year," said Holman in a statement, "and with so many exciting things happening in the horror genre over recent years it seemed the perfect time to launch a dedicated imprint."

The launch of Run for It comes on the heels of Holman's recent promotion to president and publisher. Holman launched Orbit in 2007, and previously served as SVP and publisher.

Announcing Holman's promotion last week, HBG CEO David Shelley noted that Orbit is currently "having its most successful period ever, which follows two successive record-breaking years."
