Open Road Integrated Media will republish six out-of-print titles by Stephen Graham Jones on October 1 as part of Open Road's Re-Discovery Lit initiative, which "bring[s] deserving books that are out of print and reverted back to life." Zombie Bake-Off (2012), The Long Trial of Nolan Dugatti (2008), and Three Miles Past (2012) will be simultaneously published in print and e-book formats; It Came From Del Rio (2010), Sterling City (2014), and After the People Lights Have Gone Off (2014) will be published in e-book only on October 1, with print publications slated for December 4.

Coinciding with the six titles' e-book publications, a network of booksellers, book influencers, and podcasters calling themselves "the Beautiful Sinners" (after Jones's 2003 novel) have declared October 1 "Stephen Graham Jones Day," and will hold events and distribute promotional buttons. Currently slated for SGJ Day are an anniversary screening of the Blair Witch Project and a sweepstakes for signed copies of Jones's books and SGJ Day merch.

Open Road publisher Chris Gillespie called SGJ Day a grassroots effort. When the reissues were announced, Gillespie recalled, literary podcaster Robb Olson "cold-called and connected us with a group of SGJ fans who are so excited about the publication of these out-of-print titles that they created a day to celebrate." Open Road, Gillespie said, is "thrilled to be working with them to mark the renaissance of these books and introduce them to new readers."

Olson, who hosts the podcast The ARC Party, added: "Reissuing older, out-of-print works feeds a fire that is desperate for fuel."
