Following a surge in sales of religious books in the marketplace, Andrews McMeel Publishing—the book publishing division of Andrews McMeel Universal that is best known for its humor, lifestyle, and poetry offerings—announced this morning that it is expanding into religion by launching an imprint, Amen Editions, to publish faith-based inspirational, self-care, gift, and activity books and journals for what it described in a release as “creative Christians.”

According to the release, Amen Editions titles encourage readers—and “women in particular”— to “pause, reflect, and find hope while navigating the challenges of everyday living” in a world that is becoming increasingly fast-paced and fractious. In a statement, Andrews McMeel CEO Kirsty Melville described Amen Editions titles as “infused with empathy, humor, and comforting advice, to strengthen spirituality and faithfulness.” Jennifer Leight is the editor supervising the imprint, and Spot Gloss Media will produce the books.

Amen Editions plans to release eight to 10 titles each year. Titles for 2025 include Be Still & Color; Breathe in God, Breathe Out Anxiety; Leave It At the Feet of Jesus 90 Day Devotional; and Sticker Inspirations, all out now; as well as Self-Care Is Scriptural (July); Deliver Us from Meltdowns (September); Scriptures and Florals: Life in Full Bloom Coloring Book (November); and Grace in All Places (November).
