Thomas Nelson and bestselling author Max Lucado have a signed a new three-book, nonexclusive contract. The first title will release in fall 2013; others will follow over the next five years. Thomas Nelson also will publish ancillary products for the children’s, gift, and curriculum markets.

With 100 million products in print--including books, videos, devotionals, greeting cards, booklets, Bible studies, and commentaries--Lucado is among the top inspirational authors in United States. His products have been licensed in more than 41 different languages; his books have been bestsellers on the Publishers Weekly, New York Times, USA Today, and Christian market lists. Lucado also has been featured on national media outlets including Today, Good Morning America, and Fox & Friends. He has more than 365,000 Twitter followers.

Last month Nelson released an app for Lucado, the company’s first author-specific app. With five content categories--Devotional, Publishing, News, Connect, and Guide--the Max Lucado App includes content from more than 30 titles spanning 25 years, including books, gift books, Bibles, children’s books, and devotionals. The free app is available in the App Store for iPhone and iPad mobile platforms.
