Tim Tebow, professional athlete and author of 2016’s bestselling Shaken, is returning to Crown Publishing’s WaterBrook imprint with This is the Day, to be published on September 25. Senior v-p and publisher of WaterBrook Tina Constable bought world rights to the book in all languages from Esther Fedorkevich of The Fedd Agency.
“Tim is a man of great passion and faith and continues to be an amazing role model and inspiration for living a life without regrets,” Constable told PW. “[His] fans range from all ages and I am confident they all will want to read his new book full of personal, never been told stories about family, baseball, and what it means to take control of your life in this moment and not wait until it is too late.”
Written with A.J. Gregory, This is the Day also aims to help readers “think differently, live better, and dream bigger,” according to the publisher. It delves into Tebow’s family life – including his father’s diagnosis with Parkinson’s, his current career as a baseball player for the New York Mets, and his former career as a quarterback in the National Football League.
“Imagine the morning alarm going off, and instead of groaning or slapping the snooze button, our minds, our hearts, and our souls were awakened to possibilities,” Tebow said in a press release about the book.
Bruce Nygren, senior editor, will edit This is the Day. With an initial print run of 250,000, WaterBrook is planning a marketing and publicity campaign that will kick off in the fall and target both the ABA and CBA markets.
Tebow's previous books also include Through My Eyes (HarperOne, 2011), which made the New York Times and USA Today bestsellers lists.
