Josh Dennis has been named president of Crossway, a not-for-profit Christian publishing house in Wheaton, Ill., following a vote by the publisher's board of directors.
Dennis first joined Crossway as a designer in 2002 and has served as executive v-p of creative for the past several years. He succeeds his father, Dr. Lane Dennis, who served as president of Crossway from 1987 to 2019 and will continue on in the role of CEO, along with Ebeth Dennis, as Crossway co-CEO.
"Over the last five years, we have seen significant growth at Crossway in terms of book and Bible sales and global ministry," Dr. Dennis said in a statement. “Josh has quietly and consistently made a key contribution to that growth. We have a unique sense of unity within the executive leadership team and throughout Crossway concerning this decision."
In addition to the election of a new president, Dr. Dane Ortlund has been promoted from executive v-p of Bible publishing and Bible publisher at Crossway to chief publishing officer and Bible publisher. Also, Anthony Gosling has been promoted from executive v-p of business operations to chief operating officer, while Dr. Justin Taylor continues to serve as executive v-p and book publisher.
With over 1,000 books and Bibles among its backlist, Crossway publishes between 60-70 new titles each year.
