Karey Circosta to succeed Tom Grady at Ave Maria Press
Karey Circosta moves up to publisher and CEO when Tom Grady retires in August after 15 years at the helm of Ave Maria Press. Circosta will be the first woman to serve in the role in the organization’s 155-year history. Ave Maria Press is a ministry of the Congregation of Holy Cross, publishing Catholic high school religion textbooks, parish resources, and books on prayer and spirituality. Rev. Anthony V. Szakaly, C.S.C., chairman of the board, said she “has proven herself as a long-time member of the leadership team of Ave and as associate publisher and director of sales and marketing.” Circosta, who joined Ave Maria in 2003, is a member of the board of directors of the Association of Catholic Publishers.
