Bible Podcast Prompts a Book
Tara-Leigh Cobble, who launched her Bible Recap podcast in January 2019, is now compiling her 8-minute daily episodes of Bible commentary into a book. The Bible Recap: A One Year Guide to Reading and Understanding the Entire Bible, will be published by Bethany House for release in November. Each daily reading will in the book will feature new writings from Cobble and commentary drawn from the podcast, which has a nearly 30 million downloads. It will also include a daily “God Shot”— a spotlight on the image of God drawn from Cobble’s daily radio show by that name.
DaySpring Cards and Tyndale House Set Five-Bible Publishing agreement
DaySpring Cards, Inc., an Arkansas company specializing in Christian book publishing, greeting cards, digital resources, and specialty gift products, and Tyndale House Publishers have announced a plan to publish five new Bibles, with the first edition launching in 2021. James Barnett, president of DaySpring, said, the agreement with Tyndale, a longtime licensing partner, will “amplify our brand and our message.” Jeff Johnson, president of Tyndale House Publishers, cited the two companies shared “beliefs, values, passion, and fundamental mission.”
