Jennifer Gott Named to Lead HCCP Gift Division
HarperCollins Christian Publishing has named Jennifer Gott as v-p and publisher for its Gift division. She’ll oversee acquisitions, title development and strategy for Thomas Nelson Gift and Zondervan Gift , whose products include devotionals, lifestyle, guided journals, poetry, and seasonal books.
Gott, who moves from associate publisher in HCCP’s Children’s and Gift Division, has over 20 years of publishing experience developing Christian and inspirational gift books, children's books, and trade books. Laura Minchew, senior v-p, group publisher for HCCP Children's and Gift division, cited her “great understanding of how to meet consumer needs by offering encouraging, inspiring messages of faith which are perfect as gifts for any occasion.”
Deborah Gonzalez Moves to NavPress
NavPress, the book-publishing arm of The Navigators, has named Deborah Gonzalez as associate acquisitions editor. She brings 11 years of experience in editing, marketing, publicity, and brand management for publishing houses and, recently, freelancing as an editor, ghostwriter, and author coach. Gonzalez will join acquisitions editor Caitlyn Carlson to extend NavPress’s catalog of books and ministry resources with a focus on discipleship.
‘Lady’ Singer Launches ‘Little Lady’ Book
Brett Young, the son-of-a-preacher country singer/songwriter, has turned his 2020 song Lady into a children’s book. Love You, Little Lady,” (Tommy Nelson) releasing August 24. Illustrated by Katy Hudson, the book details his love for his newborn baby girl and his hopes she will grow into the “perfect patience” modeled by her mother.
Like much of his music on the Big Machine Label Group, the lyrics are PG and not overtly Christian but modeled on the values engrained as he got his start performing in church. Tommy Nelson, is the children’s division of Thomas Nelson.
