Book Based on Popular Sermon to WaterBrook

Tina Constable, executive v-p and publisher at WaterBrook, has acquired world rights to God Chose Me: The Only Answer to Every Question by Charles Metcalf, executive pastor for Transformation Church in Tulsa, Okla. Metcalf, who is unagented, based the book on one of his most popular sermons, which offers readers a foundation for overcoming self-doubt and stepping into God’s plan with confidence. The book is scheduled for publication in summer 2025.

IVP Takes Book on Rest for Ministry Leaders

The unagented Rev. Kurtley Knight—priest in the Anglican Church of North America and assistant professor of spiritual formation at Portland Seminary of George Fox University—has signed a world rights contract with Nilwona Nowlin, associate editor at IVP, for the tentatively titled Movements Toward Rest. The book, which explores how pastors and Christian leaders can experience rest amidst the busyness and stress of 21st century ministry, will be released in spring 2027.

Book on Mary to Brazos Press

Joseph Durepos of Durepos Literary has negotiated a world rights deal with senior editor Anna Moseley Gissing of Brazos Press for Mary, Mother to All by Margarita Mooney Clayton. Mooney Clayton, a sociologist, professor, and founder of the nonprofit Scala Foundation that focuses on beauty, liberal arts and the common good, helps Catholic and Protestant readers connect with Mary’s life and experiences as a spiritual development exercise. The book is set for fall 2026.

Financial Values for Kids to Revell

Revell Books editorial director Andrea Doering has acquired world rights from Keely Boeving at WordServe Literary to Teach a Kid to Save by Stephen Day, director of the Center for Economic Education at Virginia Commonwealth University. The book introduces a system for teaching kids about work, money, and financial values in a way that is fun, flexible, research-based, and easy to use. It is scheduled for early 2026.

Tucker Signs with Leafwood

Pastor and founder of The Reclaimed Leader LLC, Jason Tucker, has signed with Leafwood for a new book tentatively titled Lost in Translation: How Churches Can More Effectively Share Jesus Across Generations. Jason Fikes, publisher, brokered the deal for world rights with Blythe Daniel of The Blythe Daniel Agency, Inc. The book is designed to equip church leaders with practical, research-based and field tested “process[es] toward greater gospel effectiveness,” according to the author. The book is set to be published in February 2026.

Our Daily Bread Takes Devotions for Moms

Dawn Anderson, executive editor at Our Daily Bread Publishing, has signed Erin Greneaux's Sunday God Meets Monday Mom: 100 Devotions Connecting Faith and Life. Blythe Daniel at the Blythe Daniel Agency represented the author in the world rights deal. Greneaux is known for her writings to moms and children as a mom of three daughters, Bible study leader and women’s ministry team member. The five-minute devotions make connections between faith and everyday life. The book is scheduled for an April 2026 publication.

Kregel Signs Award-Winning Novelist

Kregel publisher Catherine DeVries has acquired world rights from Keely Boeving at WordServe Literary to Birds on a Wire (tentative title) by Christy Award-winning novelist Katie Powner. The book follows the intersecting stories of two women after one has her baby taken by Child Protective Services and the other agrees to step in as a foster parent. Drawing on personal experience in the foster world, Powner seeks to show the many different ways to be a family. The book is slated for spring 2026.

Silber-Obrecht Lectures to Georgetown

Al Bertrand, director of Georgetown University Press, has signed a world-rights agreement with The Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies to publish the Silber-Obrecht Lectures, an international lecture series in the field of Interreligious/Interfaith Studies. The deal was unagented. The first volume, set to be released in early 2026, features the inaugural lecture by Francis X. Clooney of the Harvard Divinity School, with a response by Shubha Pathak of American University. A new volume will published every two years, with Heather Miller Rubens serving as series editor.
