BookExpo America is partnering with publishing business software company Above the Treeline to create a new online catalog at this May's trade show, featuring information about the titles on exhibit. The service is free to all publishers exhibiting titles at the show.
Books@BEA is based on Above the Treeline's Edelweiss service, a Web-based technology that replaces print catalogs which Above the Treeline launched at last year's BEA and is now used by dozens of publishers.
Intended to make finding titles at the show easier, especially for booksellers and the press, Books@BEA, while free to all exhibiting publishers, will only feature new titles. To access the service, people will need to go through an online registration process. And, titles from publishers that are not current Edelweiss customers will appear right before, and right after, the show, in Books@BEA, but then disappear from the catalog. For questions about getting your titles listed in Books@BEA, contact Mike Carlucci at mcarlucci@reedexpo.com.
