Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is the latest public figure and author to join the ranks of speakers at the forthcoming BookExpo.
Clinton will headline a separately-ticketed event, “An Evening with Hillary Rodham Clinton,” on Thursday, June 1 at 6:00 p.m. EST at the Javits Center. The event will be open to registered BookExpo attendees only, and seating will be on a first come, first served basis.
The first woman to be nominated for the presidency by a major political party—before losing to now-President Donald J. Trump last November—Clinton served as the 67th secretary of state from 2009 to 2013 under President Barack Obama. She is the author of books including Hard Choices, Living History, and It Takes a Village, all with longtime publisher Simon & Schuster. A new book by Clinton is due from S&S in September, along with a new picture book edition of It Takes a Village (being published by S&S Books for Young Readers).
