Various halls at the Frankfurt Messe will be under construction in the coming year, forcing the Frankfurt Book Fair to reconfigure where some exhibitors and participants will work when the annual event is held in October 16-20, 2019
Initially, the most impacted part of the fair will be the Literary Agents & Scouts Centre (LitAg), which will move in 2019 from Hall 6 into the fairground's “Festhalle," a historic hall located close to the entrance of the fair grounds. This is the second time the LitAg has relocated this decade, having moved previously in 2015.
In 2020, international exhibitors from Hall 5 will move to Hall 4, as Hall 5 is being rebuilt, a process that is expected to last until 2023. . Those being relocated include exhibitors from Spain, France, Italy, Scandinavia, Latin America and elsewhere. In addition, Hall 1 will be fully incorporated into the fair in 2020 to serve as the primary venue for the fair's public-facing programming.
