Valérie Perrin’s third novel, Three, took the top spot on the French fiction bestseller list at the end of April. The 665-page book follows three friends and starts in the 1980s. Perrin has been translated into 30 languages, and in the U.S. she is published by Europa. In the #2 spot was The Hunt, the new thriller by Bernard Minier, who is published in English by St. Martin’s Minotaur imprint.
Influencer Camilla Boniardi, whose Instagram account Cami-
hawke has 1.2 million followers, was #1 on the combined bestseller list in Italy at the end of April with her 20-something novel For All the Rest of My Mistakes. In the #2 spot was Sara’s Eyes by Maurizio de Giovanni, the latest in the mystery series starring the eponymous investigator. De Giovanni’s books are published in English by Europa.
Spain’s bestselling fiction title in late April was The Art of Cheating Karma by Elisabet Benavent, about creative women finding artistic fulfillment. Benavent’s 20 novels have sold more than three million copies, according to her publisher, Penguin Random House. The top nonfiction book in Spain was Infinity in a Reed by Irene Vallejo, a history of the book.
